last days of lockdown, we asked you to share your thoughts
with us about what’s been keeping you going and what
CLOUD SPOTTING you’re most looking forward to, when we can all return to
what we love doing in the summer.

from day to day.
It’s clear that our outside spaces have been a real boon to
our mental and physical health, too. Over in South Shore,
Jackie told us that she’d spent lockdown painting fence
SPOT THE BALL panels, whilst April and Angela had spent lots of time
tending their gardens.
Keeping up with fitness has been another great support for
our wellbeing over the last twelve months. Though gyms
and fitness centres have been closed, many of you have
enjoyed running or walking or taking part in online classes
instead. In Revoe, local young people realised that staying
in playing computer games all day, every day wasn’t doing
them any good.
“Yeah, we realised that we needed exercise and fresh air to
stay healthy and activities to get involved in to keep us
busy. Staying indoors and just playing Xbox wasn’t doing us
any good at all,” Layton, Tee-Jay and Reece told us. “We
reckon if we’d had a gym to attend, we may not have found
things so stressful because exercise helps our mental
health.”
Fortunately, Layton, Tee-Jay and Reece got involved with
