As a reaction to the restrictive parameters of commissioned art assignments, this project explores the importance of risk taking and the location of artistic value and merit.

No mention of impact or influence. No thought of skill or concept. No consideration of emotional connection. When we measure artistic value with a binary checklist and the figures on a spreadsheet – I believe we all fail to excel.
